Situated on the hill in Greenwich Royal Park, the historic Royal Observatory commands breathtaking views of the City of London and the River Thames. The Observatory is home to Greenwich Mean Time and the Prime Meridian of the world, and houses one of the world’s finest collections of time-related scientific instruments, including the famous Harrison timekeepers.

Guided tours of the Time Galleries, with the Observatory’s team of astronomers and horologists, and telescope viewings in the courtyard can be arranged to really make the place come to life.

The Peter Harrison Planetarium at the Royal Observatory Greenwich provides a versatile modern venue for evening events, with its striking architecture, contemporary lines and abundant light.
